If your school or organisation isn’t signed up to the Bag2School scheme then it should be. This is such an easy way to fundraise. Similar to the charity bags that are pushed through your letterbox, but you give your unwanted clothes and textiles to your school or club and they are paid per tonne collected.
The Bag2School scheme currently offer £500 per tonne collected of unwanted clothes and textiles and has paid £11 million to schools so far!!
Send the bags home with children asking parents to fill with their unwanted clothes and textiles, arrange a date for collection and hey presto you’ve just raised a few hundred pounds for your fund!
The scheme has proven success with a staggering £7m raised throughout schools in the UK. They don’t just support our schools, if your organisation is a nursery, preschool, playgroup, college, Sports club, Scouts or Brownies then you are also eligible to take part in the scheme.
